Drass: In a dedicated effort to ensure the progress of educational infrastructure in the region, the Director of School Education Ladakh recently visited several key construction sites in Drass. Accompanied by the Zonal Education Planning Officer (ZEPO) of Drass, the Director assessed the ongoing work at the Netaji Subash Chander Bose Hostel, the Zonal Education Office (ZEO) Drass, and the Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) Bhimbet.
During the visit, ZEPO Drass, Ashraf Sagar, apprised the Director that the Netaji Hostel has not yet been handed over to the department. This highlights a critical delay in the project which is essential for providing accommodation to students.
The inspection tour also included the Higher Secondary School (HSS) Drass Hostel. The Director issued directives to the Principal of HSS Drass to expedite the completion of the hostel in collaboration with the executing agency.
The Director expressed appreciation for the comprehensive feedback and insightful interpretation provided by Ashraf Sagar, ZEPO Drass, underscoring the importance of timely updates and effective communication in the successful completion of these projects.
This visit underscores the commitment of the Directorate of School Education Ladakh to improving educational facilities and ensuring that the infrastructure projects are completed efficiently and effectively within the current financial year (CFY).
