Har Ghar Tiranga: CEC Kargil Dr Jaffer Akhoon flags off Tiranga Rally MP Ladakh, along with DC, SSP, others, take part in Tiranga rally with enthusiasm and patriotic fervor

Kargil, August 14, 2024: Chairman/Chief Executive Councilor, LAHDC, Kargil, Dr Mohd Jaffer Akhoon today flagged off a Tiranga Rally, which began at Army Helipad ground and culminated at Auditorium Hall, Kargil.

The rally was organised by District Administration Kargil in collaboration with the Education Department and Police Department ahead of the Independence Day under the banner of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign.

Besides the CEC, Member of Parliament Ladakh, Mohmad Haneefa Jan, Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil, Shrikant Suse; SSP Kargil, Shree Ram R; Brigadier Prateek Parshar Commander 121 Brig.; ADC Kargil, Suhail Ahmed besides District Officers of various departments, students and staff of various government and private schools participated in the rally.

The rally culminated at Auditorium Hall Kargil. While addressing the occasion, the CEC congratulated the participants for taking an active part in the rally.

“There is no great nation like ours and we should celebrate this legacy adding to the fact that we got the opportunity to serve this nation,” he said.

The CEC remarked that this campaign is an initiative to spread awareness about patriotism and helps us recognize struggles of freedom fighters, who made our nation independent.

Dr Jaffer Akhoon also paid rich tributes to the Indian army for safely guarding the nation’s borders and said that we should admire our army in equal spirit at large.

He urged the civil society of Kargil to display national flags for the next 24 hours and directed the Tourism Department to install “I Love India” and “I Love Kargil” signages at key tourist destinations across the district.

During the event appreciation certificates and momentos were distributed among students who participated in cultural performances besides team Stringmo was also felicitated.

Chief Education Officer, SD Namgyal presented welcome address and thanked all for making the Tiranga Rally a success and enthusiastically participating in it.

Patriotic song was performed at the Auditorium Hall Kargil by the students of Council Model High School Goma, Kargil, GHS Kaksar and PM Sri Govt. High School Poyen.

Pertinently the event was held to spread the spirit of patriotism amongst the people and spread awareness regarding the importance of the National Flag.

‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ is a campaign that started under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to encourage people to bring the Tiranga home and to hoist it to mark India’s Independence.
